Rio Salado Office Complex

Statement

This project was designed to fill an unsightly parking lot sitting directly in front of the beautiful Tempe Town Lake. It mimics the mountain range not only behind the site, but also the ranges surrounding the entire valley. The bronze coverings on the glass facades of the buildings directly represent the mountains, making it more clear what the vision of the project is. The site contains three buildings with the main building featuring a large courtyard in the middle. The glass faces of the buildings are angled in ways to make it feel like as a passer-by, you are hiking through a canyon. This project would not only move the parking underground, but would add a more sightly, but low-profile mark on the waterfront of the lake.
