Small Office

For this project, designing on the small scale was important.

Creating a beautiful space which includes only what is necessary was the main goal of this project. Taking inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright in the red terracotta floors, large glass doors and wood details, this small office is designed to be placed in any environment at low cost.

The doors allow air circulation, and the clerestory windows allow for natural climate control. It's designed to make the resident feel as if they are outside in nature, while still being in an organized space; keeping with the Frank Lloyd Wright theme.

The space is versatile and simple, allowing whoever occupies it to tailer it to their needs. Whether it be an office, studio, or tiny home, this small building allows you to be surrounded by nature.

Project Goals

Versatility and aesthetics was the main focus of this project.

It is simple, yet very versatile and open feeling. Following Frank Lloyd Wright's approach to designing with nature instead of against it was an important aspect of this design, while functionality and aesthetics were also necessary.

Allowing circulation and fresh air was important to feel as if you've stepped outside. Rather than sticking a perfectly climate controlled and enclosed building on a piece of land, being involved with the outside environment is the main objective with the small office.
